Jantjies fit to tour

Hooker Deon Fourie (concussion) is the only injury worry from the weekend, but he, like flyhalf Elton Jantjies, will be fit to tour with the Stormers.

The following players are back to fitness – after missing the Sharks game – and will come in for contention for the Stormers’ tour:

– Hooker Scarra Ntubeni (shoulder – first game of the tour)

– Flank Rynhardt Elstadt (shoulder – first game)

– Wing Bryan Habana (knee – first game)

– Lock Eben Etzebeth (ankle – second game of the tour)

– Flyhalf Elton Jantjies (knee – second game)

The following players – who also missed the Sharks game – are selection doubts for the tour:

– Lock/flank Don Armand (intercostal rib muscle injury)

– Wing Gerhard van den Heever (knee)

The 26-man Stormers touring squad will be announced this Friday afternoon. The squad will depart for Australasia on Saturday.

“It’s great to see the long list of players returning from injury – especially when one considers how many players we’ve been without of late,” said coach Allister Coetzee

“The bye has come at a good time for us this week. The guys have a few days off and we’ll have our first (and only) session of the week on Friday, before we fly overseas on Saturday,” continued Coetzee.
