So after enough previews to sink the Queen Mary, Super Rugby 2016 is eventually here! Time to haul out the YES/NO coin and make a few predictions.

Well, I am either going to be very happy or very sad on Friday evening. I seem to have called three “Upsets” to start the tournament. Sure there might have been a little heart (instead of the old noggin) in all three, but hey, it makes watching the games a whole lot more fun!
Plenty of very good centres around this year, especially down in Bloem (Francois Venter and ex Bull William Small-Smith) and Pretoria (Jesse Kriel and Jan Serfontein to start, Burger Odendaal on the bench), but sans the two kingpin flyalves, Handre Pollard and Pat Lambie, will sides be able to get those mostly young backlines away? Over to you, Elton Janties!
Lots of talk about a more ball in hand and exciting game from all the (again) young coaches, but will they have the backbone to put them into action?
