Grunters hit inaugural braai tour

“You will braai and eat lots of red-meat on a daily basis. If this idea does not appeal to you, please do not enter” says Jan Braai of the first ever National Braai Tour. “Where do we sign?” say the Grunters.

Taking place from 13 – 20 September, taking in the most scenic parts of South Africa, the inaugural National Braai Tour from Jozi to Cape Town promises to be nothing short of EPIC.

Participants will have the opportunity to join Jan Braai for a proper braai and camping adventure put together to promote that holiest of holy SA public holidays – National Heritage Day – which falls on 24 September every year. Also known as National Braai Day, it is a day on which all South Africans are encouraged to gather around fires and actively celebrate our heritage.

Teams transport and set up our own camp equipment and tents in pre-assigned areas within the #braaitour village every day. Using the ingredients and recipe provided, teams prepare our own fires and braai our own food at designated times for the official braai of the day. No driving after that.
