WIN a spot in Sunday’s DHL Delivery Run

You and 2 mates could be taking part in the DHL Delivery Run at the Clifton Beach Challenge, and thus be in with a shout of winning a Stormers jersey signed by the players.

DHL Express, sponsors of the Stormers, have partnered with the Clifton Surf Lifesaving Club to revive the famous Clifton Beach Challenge.

The Challenge, which used to see Springbok rugby players take on Clifton lifesavers, will now be known as the DHL Clifton Challenge, and will pit the Stormers and Clifton Surf Lifesaving against each other in a fun game of touch rugby, flag contests and tug of war.

It gets going at 13h00 this Sunday (19 Jan) on Clifton 4th beach, and you could be central to all the action!

On offer is a spot for you and 2 mates in the DHL Delivery Run on the beach (similar to what goes down at half time during Stormers matches, but on the beach!) … AND … The winner of the short race will win the new Stormers Jersey PLUS get the chance to meet Stormers players and Springbok legends to get the jersey signed.

Leave a comment on this Blog post letting us know which Stormers player’s signature you would seek first were you to win the DHL Delivery Run …

Send out the following Tweet from your account: Hey @frontrowgrunt – I have been training for Sunday’s #DHLDeliveryRun at the Clifton Beach Challenge all festive season … Let me in!

Sadly, prize excludes transport and accommodation, so you need to be able to get to Clifton on Sunday yourself in order to win the competition.

Clfton Challenge comp iii

Sunday’s DHL Clifton Beach Challenge includes touch rugby for spectators, a corporate touch rugby challenge, musical appearances, face painting and various activities for the entire family.

“Most Capetonians will remember the great tradition behind this challenge,” says Stormers coach Allister Coetzee. “It is a wonderful opportunity to renew this tradition and create some friendly rivalry between the two teams. “

“In the twenty years that the original tournament ran, we were only beaten once, and only in the touch rugby element of the match-up. Those are fairly decent odds…” comments Marc Truss, Chairman of the Clifton Surf club

The courier company, which first signed with WP Rugby in 2011, has been a supporter of the Clifton Surf community over the last year helping deliver safety to the area’s beaches.

  1. Hi Tank,

I would chase after Gio Aplon for a signature, but no hopes of catching him, so might try for Siya Kolisi as well 🙂

  2. Hi Tank

I will chase after Schalla for his signature or else Jean de Villiers.

  3. Hi Tank

If I won I would like to chase Demetri Catrakilis hes one of my favourite players.
