How do you like dem odds?

What are the chances of wins for all of the Lions, Cheetahs, Australia, Toulon, and Saracens this weekend? Pretty damn unlikely, but worth a dabble at 100/1 perhaps?

So it is a mix of promotion relegation, Currie Cup semi-finals and Bledisloe Cup this weekend, and the BetFlash odds suggest relatively easy wins for the home sides:

Western Province – 0.23

Golden Lions – 3.2

Draw – 24

Sharks – 0.38

Free State – 2.1

Draw – 23

Griquas – 0.3

Pumas – 2.4

Draw – 21

New Zealand – 0.1

Australia – 5.7

Draw – 28.5

Tough to make a buck on those bloody odds, unless you fancy a draw or upset. Pumas at 2.4 or Lions at 3.2 would be our choice if keen to take a flyer. It is difficult to know how good the Pumas really are, but they completely dominated that 1st division … While the Lions, with Elton Jantjies back at flyhalf with a point to prove, will have that 31-31 draw at Newlands to draw on, and we all know how fragile the men in blue and white have been in playoff games of late … Just R10 bucks on the Lions will get you R 40.20 back if they win …

Below, though, a few of the more different (and longer) odds from BetFlash that might indeed see you putting a few bob down … Got to be in it to win it as they say in the classics …

We like these half time draw odds. With all three games set to be tight to begin with, the chances of the score being even at half time are a whole lot better than come the final whistle:

Half time / Full time: Draw / Western Province: 14.75

Half time / Full time: Draw / Sharks – 15

Half time / Full time: Draw / Griquas – 15.25

If a R10 bet comes good, you walk away with bottomless wings and ribs at the Spur on a Thursday, together with a beer to wash them down!!

Or what about one of the Sharks OR WP to lose or draw? BetFlash will give you 1.4 on that …

And if we throw in a few Bledisloe and Heineken Cup permutations, then the odds get even longer … For the record, Saracens are at home to Toulouse, while Toulon travel to Cardiff to take on the Blues:

Lions, Sharks, NZ, Griquas – 5

WP, Sharks, Australia, Griquas – 7

WP, Cheetahs, NZ, Pumas – 10

WP, Sharks, Australia, Pumas – 20

WP, Cheetahs, Australia, Pumas – 50

Lions, Cheetahs, Australia, Griquas – 75

Lions, Cheetahs, Australia, Toulon, Saracens – 100

We would be more interested in a WP, Sharks, NZ and Griquas combo, but perhaps that was just a little too simple to make it into the Flashpots this week. Lions to upset WP at Newlands is not completely out the question, and then if all three of the other games go according to the odds, BetFlash will give you 5/1 on that … Perhaps worth a dabble?

R10 bucks on the monster upset sequence of wins for the Lions, Cheetahs, Australia, Toulon, and Saracens, will get a grand back. That is quite a few table dances at Teazers my friend … Just saying!
