While the peak audience shows pretty good growth of over 12%, that growth is only half that of the growth in total available audience – which has grown by over 22%, meaning that the tournament has not captured the imagination of all the new DStv subscribers.

Interesting to note that over 33% of the audience reside in the Western Cape, while only 25% reside in Gauteng, showcasing the value that the Maties and the Ikeys bring to the tournament.

  1. Will moving the games to 6 and 8 not up the numbers? 5pm kickoff makes it hard for people to watch the game on tellie.

    1. Viewership analysis actually suggests that anything after 7 is a struggle. When 7de Laan comes on on SABC, the hubbies have to hand over the remotes it seems … 3 and 5 might actually better with the first one watched at the office!
