Ikeys decimated by injuries

Yet to win a game in the Varsity Cup this year, the chances of UCT breaking their duck against UJ this evening have been severely dented by injuries.

Injuries to key players Levi Odendaal (lock and cpatain), Tiger Bax (centre), Josh Katzen (8th man), Nicholas Holton (wing) and Sti Sithole (loosehead prop) at last Thursday’s practice sees the team taking to the field against UJ this evening looking very different to the one that showed so much fight to earn a bonus point against the star-studded Tukkies last week.

UJ coach Hugo van As has been able to name an unchanged starting line-up.

UCT team that will take to the field: 15 Dillyn Leyds, 14 Dylan Sage, 13 Nicolas Loizides, 12 David Ambunya, 11 Lihleli Xoli, 10 Ross Jones-Davies, 9 Liam Slatem (C),  8 Bradley Bosman, 7 Ntsolo Setlaba, 6 Kyle Kriel, 5 James Kilroe, 4 Shaun Macdonald, 3 Shane Meier, 2 Michael Willemse, 1 Oliver Kebble.
