DHL score at Industry Awards

The very best in the business of sport were rewarded for their work in 2012 on Thursday night at the Virgin Active Sport Industry Awards.

The Award winners:

Nike – Sport Brand of the Year

Proteas – Outstanding Contribution to SA Sport.

Orlando Pirates  – Best Business Performance by a Sport Team.

Jomo Sono – Lifetime Achievement Award.

Absa – Best Sponsorship of a Sport Event or Competition for the Cape Epic.

Kevin Vermaak – Business Achievement of the Year.

Nike Run Free – Sport Participation Event of the Year

Nike Run Free – Best Use of PR in a Sport Campaign.

Playmakers Sponsorship – Sport Agency of the Year

Thackwell & Whittaker and Ogilvy – Best Integrated Marketing Campaign ( Olympics)

MTN Qhubeka – Community Programme Award.

The winners were selected from a record breaking number of entries, following a rigorous two-stage judging process scrutineered by the Official Independent Adjudicators, Deloitte, with some of the most respected names in sport involved as Judges.
