  1. I felt the SA 8,9 and 10 were very poor. Hougaard distribution was very slow (not aided in any way by Spies) and his all round play very weak. Steyn is completely out of form. I did not think Kankowski added any value as usual at this level and I don’t believe W Kruger is up to it at this level at this stage. My answer to your question posed on radio Tank, is that E. Jantjies was never picked as the genuine 10 to come off the bench. The only thing he has is goal kicking, which I know is why you asked the question. I thought Mallet summed this game up very succinctly – when plan A ( brawn) was nullified there was nothing else (plan B- brains) to come. It seems a perrenial problem with so many SA coaches and captains. One just has to look at the Australians who were very fortunate to get the last two wins v Wales – however when things were not working out they tried different things – there fly halves have the skill and nouse to change and vary their play. I also just wonder why our levels of skill are so average – forget about the score – just look at the standard of rugby that the AB’s produced in the first 20 mins on Saturday

  2. Tank, its more likely R Kitshoff moving to Bourdeaux and not S Kitshoff. R Kitshoff is a 3 de lange (back row forward) which is what is stated on the website. S. Kitshoff Pilier (prop). I have an idea S kitshoff is tied up for about 3 years.

    1. Spot on. Was a Tweet from someone who saw it on Rugby365, who had got it wrong … I should have given it a little more thought before rewteeting it
