How do you like dem odds?

How about 16/1 on wins for Brumbies, Reds, Crusaders, Force and Blues this weekend? Yes, it would require the Force to get past the Brumbies, but it is an Aussie derby! Check out the weekend in odds.

Two sides up against it on tour this weekend, but those Cheetahs do not mind a second week on tour comeback! Pretty spicy in Pretoria, where the Bulls have taken a hit up front, with Frik Kirsten having suffered an injury to a disc in his neck for the second time in his career. Werner Kruger is a more than able replacement, though, so the question is more about whether the ugly win against the Lions will have done enough to get them going against one of the best attacking sides in the tournament?

The weekend’s fixtures:

Friday 07 March

08:35 Hurricanes vs Brumbies, Westpac Stadium, Wellington

10:40 Reds vs Cheetahs, Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane

Saturday 08 March

08:35 Crusaders vs Stormers, AMI Stadium, Christchurch

10:40 Force vs Rebels, NIB Stadium, Perth

17:05 Bulls vs Blues, Loftus Versfeld, Pretoria

19:10 Sharks vs Lions, Kings Park, Durban

My picks for the weekend:

HURRICANES to beat Brumbies by 5

REDS to beat Cheetahs by 3

CRUSADERS to beat Stormers by 4

REBELS to beat Force by 3

BLUES to beat Bulls by 5

SHARKS to beat Lions by 16

BetFlash disagree with me with regard to the game in Pretoria and will give you only 0.55 on the Bulls, but 1.45 on the Blues, so there might be a little cash to be made there. Sure the Blues will have travelled, but I am not sure a relatively crappy win in a very crappy win against the Lions warrants making you the favourites against one of the best attacking sides in the tournament. You would need to put a fair amount of loot down to make it worth your while though …

BetFlash have the Weekend winners at the following odds:

HUR, RED, CRU, REB, BUL             4

BRU, RED, CRU, REB, BUL              5

HUR, RED, CRU, FOR, BLU             12

BRU, RED, CRU, FOR, BLU             16

BRU, CHE, CRU, REB, BLU              30

HUR, CHE, CRU, FOR, BLU             40

HUR, RED, STO, FOR, BLU             50

BRU, CHE, STO, REB, BUL              65

Again no odds on all my predictions coming off, sadly …

The closest to that is the first one, but with the Bulls coming in instead of the Blues. And given that BetFlash actually have the Bulls as favourites in that game, perhaps at 4/1, that is not a bad place to have a dabble? R50.00 on that gets you around 600 litres of petrol at the OLD price!!

Another that catches this fat man’s eye is the 16/1 on wins for BRU, RED, CRU, FOR, BLU. It would require the Force to get past the Brumbies, which is not massively likely, but it is an Aussie derby after all, and anything can happen in those. Just R10 on that gets 480 litres of petrol at the OLD price!

And if you see a chance in the Cheetahs getting past the Reds and the Stormers getting past the Crusaders, both away from home, then how about R10 or R50 on the 65/1 offering? That comes off and you are driving around using old priced petrol for life!

Some pretty cool BetFlash FlashBets on the go as well:

  • 4/1 on the Bulls AND Stormers to finish in the bottom 6 (down from 8/1 at the beginning of the tournament, meaning the okes at BetFlash think this is looking more likely!)
  • 2.9 on the Chiefs to win the tournament … That is WITHOUT doubt worth digging into the pocket for … Still my team to beat this year.
  • 3/1 on the Sharks to Win Super 15 … The banana boys have indeed started well, but to bring home not only the bacon, but the entire pig this year seems a little far fetched
  • 2/1 on the Stormers to score LEAST Tries of SA Teams … Is that not akin to taking candy from kids?

WIN a hundred grand! To guide you in your log deciding ways, BetFlash will give you the following odds on the top 6 come the final weekend of league matches:

SHA, CHI, WAR, CRU, BLU, BRU – 5/1

SHA, CHI, RED, CRU, BRU, STO – 10

CHI, SHA, BRU, CRU, STO, CHE – 12

CRU, STO, WAR, CHI, SHA, RED – 15

CRU, BRU, SHA, CHI, RED, STO – 18

CHI, SHA, RED, BLU, CHE, CRU – 20

BRU, CRU, STO, SHA, CHI, BLU – 30

STO, CHI, BRU, BUL, CRU, BLU – 40

CHI, RED, BUL, CRU, BRU, SHA – 50

Still a smidgen too heavy on the SA sides for my liking …
