About the Wesbank 7’s
Since its inception in 2005, the Wesbank Rugby Club’s annual 7’s tournament has aimed to become the biggest 7’s tournament to be hosted by a local rugby club in the Western Cape. Castle and OK Mini Mart Malmesbury have come on board as title sponsors, giving the tournament a much needed boost.
Support continues to grow, both from fans and teams taking part. Clubs from the Western Province Rugby Union & Boland Rugby Union compete annually in the tournament, with the aim being to uncover young talent in the Western Cape.
Traditionally played during the first week of February, this year sees a change given the potential clash with the Cape Town Tens.
